This one is cool.
From April 1-May 31 haircare brand Goldwell are encouraging women to dye their pink in support breast cancer.
From a single streak to all-over colour, the Go Pink tribe will raise much needed funds for a disease that will effect over 17,000 Australian in 2017 alone.
“McGrath Breast Care Nurses make life that little bit easier not only for the women and men diagnosed with breast cancer, but their families as well”. said Petra Buchanan, McGrath Foundation CEO. “This campaign by Goldwell is a great way to show your support of the great work our nurses do, right across the country”
So Lets Go Pink!
I lost my grandmother to breast cancer when she was just 50 years old – far too young. So when Goldwell asked me to lend support to the campaign there was only one answer.
Pink it is.
I put myself in the very capable hands of Heath Grimmond, Technical Director at Prema, Sydney. He opted for subtle streaks of candy floss pink (natch!). A shade that would still be appropriate for the more corporate parts of my job.
Heath custom-blended the exact hue I wanted and used balayage techinque to splice colour through the mid-lengths of my hair. Like a fairy had gone ice skating.
I chose to use a Goldwell semi-permanent colourant that fades out evenly over 15-20 washes.
No risk – just fun.
My daughters loved it too and will be joining the pink tribe during these school holidays.
So now it’s over to YOU.
Find your nearest Goldwell salon HERE (or call 1800 506 060) to book your pink colour appointment. Then simply upload a snap of your pink hair to Instagram using this hashtag: #goldwellgopink .
Then Goldwell will donate $100 to the McGrath Foundation in your name.
It’s that simple and THAT important.
