The Swimsuit Shape-Up Cream.

First things first: it took a large cup of courage to do this shoot.

In a bikini. At my age.

Actually ever.

It’s not my natural space but I wanted to depict how good I was feeling in my own skin after six weeks trialling Alpha Keri Body SlimFit.

Exercise is an important part of my life. It keeps my moods more stable, my anxiety less intense and gives me space to think creatively.

This year I decide it was time to take better care of the skin on my body and find a regime that would sit beside exercise and healthy eating to make me ‘skin fit’ for summer.

Having never really paid much attention to the skin below my neck, I was the perfect candidate for change.

Six weeks on and  I can’t imagine a world without moisturiser.

The Alpha Keri Body SlimFit  products have changed a lifetime of bad habits by delivering results.

I don’t know if fat was melted or my bust size increased  – it difficult thing to measure such things in the mirror – but I know that I prefer what I see.

My skin is firmer to touch, feels stronger and has a radiance I haven’t seen in alooooot of years.

The bonus benefit is confidence. Enough that I’m happy to commit swimsuit photos to the Google cache where they shall live for all eternity.

And honestly,  I can’t give any product higher praise than that.

The How To.

Alpha Keri Body SlimFit Bust Lift and Firm Cream

The Promise: It claims to improve breast sag by firming and lifting the bust. Marine collagen microspheres  increase in volume when absorbed, expanding, filling and lifting the bust. A highly active African Botanical creates an  tightening and lifting effect while deeply hydrated and smoothing the chest.

The Results: I applied Alpha Keri Body SlimFit Bust Lift and Firm Cream to my bust and décolletage once a day.

The first thing I noticed was the texture of this product. It’s velvety smooth and feels like silk when it hits your skin. It doesn’t feel sticky but interestingly doesn’t fade either. I felt nourished and hydrated throughout the day. This gets addictive pretty quickly.

During the third week radiance from the active ingredients kicked in. The appearance of my whole décolletage started to change. My skin looked (and felt) fuller, firmer and I could see an improvement in overall plumpness particularly at the top of my bust.

My skin is defiantly getting drier with age and after all these years I learned well-hydrated skin makes you look younger – it’s that simple. Alpha Keri Body SlimFit Bust Lift and Firm Cream is a highly nurturing product. It is purpose made to look after this delicate area of a woman body. It makes so much sense to have a cream that is dedicated to the particular needs of this area.  The only thing I’m upset about it that I didn’t start caring for this part of my body a decade ago. Am totally sold.

Good To Know: I didn’t measure breast fullness on myself but in the product studies 50% of women experienced a lifting and push-up effect over 5mm. And 100% of women observed an increase in breast firmness and elasticity. My gut, is that this products  benefits are cumulative.

With consistency and commitment it could perform miracles.

Alpha Keri Body SlimFit Heat-Activating Slimming and Firming Serum.

The Promise: This serum is super charged with Fat Burner + Caffeine Pro-complex and Gluco Blocker technology which claims to boost your metabolism, drain excess fluid and break down localised fat deposits.

The Results: I used it religiously over the six week period. Massaging a small amount into my problem areas twice a day. I concentrated on my thighs and tummy.  I also added in the Alpha Keri Anti-Cellulite Sugar Body Scrub (under the shower) about twice a week.

Used in conjunction, these two products work hard and I noticed changes in texture and hydration levels within two weeks.

This rich buttery cream is easy to fall in love with. I started this trial in the middle of a freezing Sydney winter and I became obsessed with applying it just before bed because  about six minutes after massaging it into your skin you’ll feel a delicous warmth – similar to a heat gel – but far more luxurious.

Was a personal hot water bottle.

Overall, using the Alpha Keri Body SlimFit Heat-Activating Slimming and Firming Serum has radically improved the appearance of the skin on my body . It appears firmer, looks stronger (the elasticity is bouncy like a baby’s cheek) and one hundred percent more radiant because it’s hydrated.

Does this serum dissolve fat? I’m not sure?

But I’m standing here in a bikini and I reckon that speaks volumes.

Good To Know:  A little serum goes a long way. You only need a 50-cent-size pump for each problem area. Also think before you apply because whatever it touches will heat up.

So, if you inner thighs are an area of concern….be careful.

You look great Paula but COME ON I call BS!!!! You have obviously worked incredibly hard to look as amazing as you do DO NOT insult us by saying its down to the damn cream! you are better than this :((((((((

  • Pippa

honey the pampered life of a mag exec is OVER – girl you gotta hustle like us all and this product placement crap that is so thinly veiled don’t cut it.

  • Hi Pippa

Thanks for taking the time to write.

My collaboration policy is as follows:

I only work with brands that I like and/or use.

If a product doesn’t work or fit the above criteria then I will not write about it.

There are no negative reviews on this site. Editorial or paid.

This article is openly marked as a collaboration.

I’m not sure why you felt the need to criticise my career which was defined by hard work.

Personally, I choose to lift women up.

  • Hi Zena

    Thanks for writing Zena.

First up: In the post, I refer to the creams sitting along side healthy eating and exercise. I talk consistently on the site and on my social media channels about my commitment to exercise and would never pretend to be anything other than dedicated to staying healthy and fit.

I run about 3-4 times a week. But I haven’t done a sit-up or leg lift in about five years.

I eat healthily most of the time but there’s still plenty of pizza and chocolate in my diet.

I would never suggest that any product would replace the role food and exercise plays.Or could work in isolation to change your body. Nor did I didn’t test these in that way.

This road-test was about seeing whether consistent use would change the tone and texture of my skin. And they did.

As to the active properties in the product – as I state in the video and the post – I do think they made a difference to the look and silhouette on my stomach.

My collaboration policy is as follows:

I only work with brands that I like and/or use.

If a product doesn’t work or fit the above criteria then I will not write about it.

There are no negative reviews on this site. Editorial or paid.

This article is openly marked as a collaboration.

I work really hard to keep this site a positive place and I stand behind all the products that recommend. Including these which I’m continuing to use.

  • Paula I think you look absolutely AMAZING! Exercise, healthy eating and a wonderful product are always the perfect combo when it comes to anything hair, skin, body related! I’ve been trying hard to exercise and eat well through winter but it’s always tough when you’re a food blogger! No excuses though, you’re a little bit older than me but look 20 years younger! X

  • Rochelle

Eek, I love this site – the clothes, the recipes, the travel tips – and have always found it to be a great source of inspiration and positivity. I love your vibe and am a long-time reader and admirer of your work. But a bust gel and fat-melting cream? Really? For a site that’s all about uplifting content for women, I think these products are an insult to our intelligence and am surprised to see them here. It just doesn’t seem to fit. I know we always have the option to not read, not click, ignore etc (which is the approach I generally take if something doesn’t interest me), but I find this post so jarring in the context of The Joye (you look fabulous – it’s the products mentioned), I wanted to provide this feedback as respectfully as possible. I don’t think this was a good choice of sponsored content for a site that’s normally so positive and inspiring.

  • So nice to hear from you Phoodie! Been to long. Thank you for your kind, kind words. I really appreciate you taking the time. And enough with the 20 years older thing- you do not!

  • Hi Rochelle

Firstly thank you for taking the time to write and for your kind words.

Your opinion is welcomed and I appreciate the manner in which you have written your concerns.

I was genuinely curious about these products. I am a long time Alpha Keri customer. Used it on myself, my kids and it sits in every shower of the house.

It’s a brand I trust. So that’s why I took on the collaboration. If the products hadn’t worked you would not be reading about them at all.

If a product doesn’t work for me then I will not write about it.

There are no negative reviews on this site. Editorial or paid. That has is a conscious choice: to keep negativity out of this space.

The products made a dramatic difference to the texture and tone of my skin. As I state, I don’t know if it helped with fat accumulation etc. That’s very hard to measure. I only know how I look in the mirror.

I made the (brave) decision to wear a swimsuit in the shoot to try and illustrate that point.

As a reader, you would know I’m committed to exercise, good health and write about it often.

I never, ever would suggest a cream could change your body. Nor would I think any of my readers would. For me, this trial was about making my skin fit and adding care it into an overall regime.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write.

I was curious to know how you went with the Alpha K products. I used them for my kids and family for the last 15 years. They have helped balance my sons eczema & skin irritations and helped me too in so many other ways. Its sadness me to read the message below from other women criticising your reputable career and hard work, I call that shallow. Do they even get the meaning of your work and how you always put it out there how it is? Still don’t understand why women are so harsh to one another instead of lifting and powering on as one. We then questions the boys clubs and why they are a force so strong. Its simple they don’t tear each other apart and micro analyse!
Paula well done you!!!!! I love the road to fitness that you have and are travelling. Its damn hard to get up am self motivate yourself each and every day when you have 60 million other things in a 24 hour period you have attended to. Your body is looking amazing and YES I did pay attention to your video and all you wrote above and am very clear that your results are not guaranteed to have come from the skin care creams but who cares anyway when something makes you feel so great & motivates you to go on then its really already done its job. Takes a lot of guts to be filmed in our swimmers and you lady nailed it. People will be people, ignore what you can and keep going, you are an inspiration!

  • Kerry! Thank you so very much for taking precious time out your day to check in with me. It is so appreciated.
I sincerely try to put my best foot forward on this platform and am saddened when people criticise my methods.
I don’t need to liked or agreed with but I do want readers/visitors to realise that I take their trust seriously.
    I have my whole career.
Women like YOU are who this site is for. You’re the reason I put on a swimsuit, film my face without make-up and talk honestly about the many ways in which my plates crash. And on a daily basis.
    With love.
