Hair How-to: Red Carpet Hair.

Watch and learn.

This time of year I get very into my up-do’s. Very.

Twists, braids, modern top-knots..there aren't many I haven't tried.

In this tutorial David Keogh,Ambassador for John Frieda Australiacreates a modern, sexy version of a 1950′s twisted side chignon.

David has an A-list roster of clients and primps many of Hollywoods biggest names (including our Miranda)for the Golden Globes, Emmy's, Oscars etc. He says one of the ways celebrities keep up-dos fresh is by cheating their natural hair - adding extensions, tucking it under to look chopped or adding a faux fringe which is what he does for me here.

Glamourous and cool this style is sooooachievable at home – he used no combs or brushes just tongs and pins.

The key is texture (unwashed hair is preferable) at the front and how you twist the back.
